I come from Opelousas, Louisiana, where I learned early that nothing is handed to you. You build it through consistency, patience, and showing up when it’s hard.

After 12 years in the U.S. Army working in Information Technology, I was trusted to document meaningful moments through photography, experiences that taught me discipline, responsibility, and attention to detail long before I ever taught a class.

In 2013, I picked up my first camera, and what started as curiosity quickly became a deep commitment to understanding not just how cameras work, but how visuals connect with people. Through weddings, portraits, and real client work and even during a year deployed in Afghanistan. I learned how to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and create clarity in uncertain environments.

Later, producing visual storytelling for the Army in Chicago showed me that great visuals don’t just look good, they move people and build trust.

Today in San Antonio, my focus is simple: help beginners stop overthinking, stop doubting themselves, and start creating with confidence. Everything I teach is built from real experience, explained clearly, and designed so you never feel lost, intimidated, or alone in the process.
